An authoritative gateway to the lesser-explored regions of Bangladesh, this guidebook offers greater coverage than any other to the Chittagong Hill Tracts, where 13 different ethnic groups live amid breezy hillside scenery, and to the world's largest mangrove forest at the Sunderbans (where Bengal tigers occasionally chew on a human or two). With a focus on responsible tourism, it leads trailblazing travellers to those aspects of the country that are almost unknown to visitors – dolphin and whale watching, winter bird-watching in the northern wetlands and golden Bengal's silk and archaeological highlights.

• Greater coverage than other guides of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, of the Sunderbans and of other bird-watching locations in the country

• Backed by a comprehensive website offering travel podcasts, photography, features and interactive updates

• Focus on responsible travel: the guide explains how visitors can learn about local issues while supporting those working for positive change

Reader Reviews

"Well done on this brilliant, informative Bangladesh guide. Most importantly the information we required was all in the Bradt book, the added bonus was that it was all correct. Your authors, unlike their rivals, have clearly travelled in Bangladesh. We would like to say a big thank you for helping us through. We will be using the Bradt guides in the future.

Jane Hicks - www.global-slacker.com

"Comprehensive, packed with detail and infectiously conveys the authors' love of Bangladesh, this guide beats the competition hands down."
